If I had a parachute

| | Comments (0)

A recent article on the website of the British Medical Journal ("helping doctors make better decisions") takes on the unresearched anecdotal practice of using parachutes to minimize trauma and death related to "gravitational challenge."
It's hard to believe that a practice so widely applied could have gone on so long with no evidence behind it.
The solution? "We think that everyone might benefit if the most radical protagonists of evidence based medicine organised and participated in a double blind, randomised, placebo controlled, crossover trial of the parachute."
